A little while ago I wrote an article titled, ‘My Healing Technique Is The Only One That Works!’ Shortly after I had put this article altogether, I started to think about something that I hadn’t mentioned.
When it came to healing, I said that there was the technique and then there was how ready someone was to heal. These two factors were then what defined whether or not someone was able to make progress. Another Component However, what this overlooked is the part that the healer or even the therapist plays in what takes place. It was then as though it doesn’t matter who someone woks with, as it doesn’t have much of an impact on what takes place. The healer is then just an observer when it comes to what takes place and can’t affect the process. While it would be easy to believe this, this is not something that actually matches up with reality. Two Parts What this means is that someone could work with a healer who uses a certain technique, but they might only get so far. What is going on for the person who they are working could keep them at a certain level. This person will be holding the space and, if they are unable to be fully present due to their own issues, it will create resistance. Someone can end up finding it hard to feel safe and to completely let go. Part of life Ultimately, a healer (or whatever word/words they use) is a human being, so it is to be expected that they will have some kind of baggage. They might have dealt with a lot and be more together than the average person, but they will still have things to work through. If this wasn’t the case, there would be no reason for them do what they do, let alone to be on the planet. This is why it has been said that it is not about what technique or method a healer uses, what matters is their presence or ‘state’. Looking Deeper Perhaps this is why someone can work with a healer who uses a certain technique and only get so far, but ends up making more progress with another healer who uses the same technique. And, why some healers don’t appear to do anything and their clients can still end up with incredible results. Additionally, whether someone works with a male or female can also play in how far they are able to progress. This is not due to the healer themselves, it is due to the kinds of experiences someone has had with each gender and how these experiences can make it harder for them to let go in the presence of a man/woman. Final Thoughts So, taking all this into account, I think it shows that what technique a healer uses is not all that important. What matters is whether or not they have healed certain things and if they can really hold the space. If someone realises that they are only getting so far, it might be in their best interest to no longer work with the same healer. As while there is the part that a healer plays, one is still responsible for their own life.

Nowadays, it is not uncommon to hear about someone who is offended about something, and this can take place in the real world and online. If someone was to come from a culture where this rarely takes place, they might be drawn in.
But, if they live somewhere where this is has become the norm, they might not get drawn in by it. Over the past few years, they may have heard about a lot of people who have been offended by something. Part of Life Therefore, due to how common this is, it is going to be something that goes over their head. If they are drawn in when someone is offended by something, it could come down to what they have been offended by. They might see that as time goes by, there are people who end up being offended by just about everything. It is then as though these human beings are machines that keep malfunctioning. A New Planet When this happens to a machine it will mean that it no longer works, but when it happens to a human being, it will cause them to lose their inner stability (that’s if they were stable to begin with). Their thoughts and emotions are likely to end up being out of control. With this in mind, it might be a good idea for someone like this to live on another planet; somewhere where they will no longer be offended. The trouble is that if something like this was to happen, they are still likely to find something that will offend them. A Different Meaning However, due to the kind of conditioning that someone like this has received, they can see themselves as being morally superior to people who don’t respond to life in the same way. It is then not that they lack the ability to control how they feel; it is that they have the ability to notice when something isn’t right. Their way of behaving is likely to be the result of what they were told in the education system. In other words, instead of being taught how to think, they would have been told what to think. Completely Meaningless One of the downsides to this kind of behaviour is that when someone has a legitimate reason for being offended, they might not be taken seriously. This is then similar to how the word ‘narcissist’ has pretty much lost its meaning. These days, this word is often thrown around and used whenever someone experiences behaviour that they don’t like. It can then be used to shame another person and to try to get them to behave how they want them to. A Closer Look When someone is offended, it is going to show that they are experiencing inner discomfort and, in order for this to change, they are likely to want something to change externally. What this means that they are not going to have the need to give anything, they will just want to take. It will be as though their inner peace has been taken from them and this is then why they will deserve to take something back. They are then going to have every right to take and not to give anything. Out of Balance Ergo, when someone has the tendency to be offended by just about everything, they are going to end up trying to take a lot of energy from others. And, not only will they try to take their energy, they can also try to destroy what they have created. Someone like this is then not concerned about what they can give to the world, what they can do to make it a better place; they are only focused on what they can get from it. Now, they will try to hide this through coming across as though they have the moral high ground. A New World If they actually wanted to make a difference, they might look into what they can do to make the world a better place and then to take action. This would allow them to give something to the world, as opposed to simply taking things from it. What this comes down to is that the best way to change the world is to create something new and not to just get worked up about how things are. It is easy to complain or to tear something down, yet it takes work to truly make a difference or to build something up. Sitting Back It is then as though these kinds of people are on the sidelines throwing stones at the people who are on the front line. If they were to get out of their chairs and to contribute something, they might no longer have enough time to be offended. They would have a focus, and this would stop them from getting caught up in the kinds of things that used to consume them. Deep down, they would know that they are playing their part of this earth and not just living like a parasite. Conclusion Each one of us has a part to play on this earth; if that wasn’t the case, we wouldn’t be here. If someone doesn’t like something, they can waste their time by being offended or they can do something about it. This is not a decision they will have to make once; it is a decision they will have to make on a regular basis. They are the only ones who can do this; no one else can do it for them.

Whenever I have looked through a paper or a news website over the years, I have often come across news stories that go into how so many people are suffering mentally and emotionally. What often comes up is that these people’s lives are being derailed by anxiety, depression and/or suicidal feelings.
After I hear about things like this, I am rarely shocked by what I here. One of the reasons for this is that I think society is dysfunctional, which is why I think that it is more of a surprise if someone hasn’t got mental and emotional problems than it is if someone has. A Number of Factors What plays a big part in what someone’s mental and emotional is like as an adult is what their early years were like. If this was a time when they were abused and/or neglected, it can be normal for them to suffer as an adult. The trouble is that even if this was a time when they didn’t get what they needed to grow and develop in the right way, it doesn’t mean that they will actually realise this. They might have created all kinds of defences, defences that would have been created to allow them to survive their early years. The Symptoms Through having a less-than nurturing childhood, they can end up with a number of different issues. With this in mind, if they were to look into why they are depressed and/or suffer from anxiety, for instance, they may find that these are the effects of what happened when they were growing up. To look deeper and to find out what is going on, and then to deal with the cause, would be the ideal. But, out of their need to avoid pain and through having the need to stay loyal to their parents (and to protect them), they can end up living on the surface of themselves. The Cause As a result of this, they can come to the conclusion that the reason they feel this way is due to a ‘chemical imbalance’. Now, they might have an imbalance within them, but this is unlikely to be something that just happened. There is going to be a reason why their brain is not working in the right way, and it could be due to the trauma that they experienced early on. Yet, in the same way that their time in the education system most likely won’t have allowed them to develop self-awareness and self-knowledge, they are unlikely to be given the guidance that they need if they were to see their Doctor. Another Part Not only would their early years have affected their brain, these years would have also had an impact on their gut. And while the mind is often seen as the most important area when it comes to mental health, it is actually the stomach that plays a bigger role. If this part of their body is not in a good way, it is going to be incredibly difficult for them to function at their best. What this also means is that even if someone’s early years were not abusive, they could destroy their mental and emotional health through having a bad diet. It’s Terrible One of the things that ruin the gut microbes is sugar, and so much of what is eaten in today’s world is full of sugar. Ultimately, a poor diet leads to poor mental and emotional health; it’s as simple as that. Along with the diet, what is also going to make it harder for someone to function is if they don’t have close connections with others. Speaking to people online, for example, can’t replace real relationships. One Step Back If someone had a dysfunctional childhood, it can mean that they didn’t get the guidance that they needed to be able to develop connections with others. In fact, what could feel safer is to keep people at a distance. Naturally, this is going to cause them to suffer; not only will they find it hard to regulate their own emotions (system), but they will rarely have anyone around them who will be able to help them to do this. However, while someone can experience life in this way due to having a rough childhood, they could have lots of people in their life. A Mask They are then going to spend a lot of time around others, but this doesn’t mean that they will fully show up. Instead, they can be someone who generally covers up how they feel, which will mean that these people won’t know what is really going on for them. Due to what happened in the beginning of their life, they are likely to feel as though there is something inherently wrong with them. This is then why they need to put on an act and to hide their true-self. Final Thoughts Perhaps this is why so many people suffer in silence even though they are surrounded by family and friends. So, as childhood abuse is so common, the education system rarely allows people to understand themselves (it usually does the opposite), a lot of the food today is poor, technology often replaces real relationships, and so much of the modern day world is about escapism, I would say that it would be a real shock for mental and emotional problems to be the exception as opposed to the rule.

What I have thought about recently is why some people only pay attention to their health when they are in a really bad way. It’s a bit like only taking a car for a service when the engine is close to exploding.
When something like this takes place, it is going to be clear that they have been neglecting their health for quite some time. Not only this, they won’t have been listening to the signs that their body has been sending them Not Bad Enough There are going to be others who won’t do anything about their health, even though it is clear that they are not in a good way. They will simply carry on as normal; acting as though there is not a problem. When either this or the above takes place, it can be hard to understand why someone would have ended up like this. If someone just carries on with their life and doesn’t try to change anything, their friends and family can experience a lot of pain. A Few Options These people can offer their support and even give them advice on what they can do, but it will only go so far if this person is not interested in what they have to say. Many years ago, I used to speak to my mother and father about what they could do to improve their health and wellbeing, yet it didn’t have much of an effect. Fortunately, my father was open to having healing, and doing so made his final years on this planet less painful. One of the problems was that I was their son, which meant that what I had to say didn’t carry as much weight as it would have done if it came from an authority figure, such as a doctor. What’s going on? When it comes to why someone would only care about their health when they are in a bad way, I think there are number factors involved. And these factors are also going to be involved if someone doesn’t change anything when they end up in this position. Firstly, someone like this doesn’t have a good connection with their body; if they did, they would have been giving it what it needed over the years. Secondly, the reason they are out of touch with their body could be because it is too painful for them to be in their body. A Big Problem Being in there is then going to be too much for them to handle, which is why they primarily live in their head. The trouble with this is that through being out of touch with their body, it would have stopped them from being aware of what their body needed. Their mind have have caused them to believe that everything was fine, while their body would have been in desperate need of attention. In the short-term, they would have been able to live in denial, but as time passed, they would have no longer have been able to avoid reality. Trauma At some point in their life, something may have happened that caused them to be overwhelmed with pain. Alternatively, they may have had a number of experiences that had this effect on them. In addition to the pain that this caused them, they may have ended up feeling completely helpless and worthless. What may have happened is that through feeling helpless and worthless, they might no longer want to be alive. The Death Instinct So, instead of ending their life at this point in time, it will be as though they have opted to experience a slow and painful death. This is not to say they are consciously aware of this, but it could be what is going on deep down. If they felt comfortable in their body, valued themselves and didn’t feel helpless and therefore, wanted to be alive, they would have probably taken care of their own health. And if someone doesn’t do anything even after it has been pointed out that they are in a bad way, they may have lost the will to live and be only too happy for their life to end.

At the beginning of last year, I shared a quote about how someone can overlook what another person has overcome if they only focus on what they have achieved. The main reason I had created this quote was due to how people had responded to me, when I went into what I did in the past.
After I left school I didn’t have a clear plan, and a few years after I left, I ended up getting into self-development. A lot of my time and energy went into trying to understand myself and working through my own baggage. The Years Went By During these early years, I also ended up going to college a number of times and I had a number different jobs. I often had moments when I felt incredibly angry and hopeless that, while the people I knew were racing forward in their career path, I had no idea about what I was going to do with my life. From the outside, it just seemed as though I was just wasting time by going to college and doing jobs that wouldn’t lead anywhere. The truth was that I had no idea about what I was going to do with my life. One Focus However, what I did find incredibly fulfilling was reading books that would allow me to understand myself better. I was like a dog with a bone; I wasn’t going to stop doing this and focus on something else. But even though I was committed to this, I didn’t have a lot to show for the work that I had put in. I was making progress but it was slow and I wasn’t sharing anything at this point; I was having conversations with people, yet I hadn’t written any articles or books. The Priority So much of my time and energy was put into keeping my head above water; I didn’t have the urge to create anything. The energy that went in to this objective would have allowed me to achieve something significant; there is no doubt about it. When I wrote my first article at the end of 2010, I took the first step of what would soon give me something to show for all the work that I had been putting into my own development. Once I was in a position where I had written hundreds of articles and had books out, the responses that I received from others were generally different. Final Thoughts I believe that the amount of energy and strength that someone needs to elevate themselves from a very low place or to overcome a big challenge, can be about the same amount of energy and strength that is needed to achieve something significant. The trouble is that while it is relatively easy to see when someone has achieved something significant, the same can’t be said for when they have overcome something significant. Taking this into account, it makes me think about how important it is for someone to honour their own path and not to get caught up with what other people think. We all have our own path to walk.

A number of years ago, a few articles were written about how trauma from slavery and the holocaust can be passed down. What this means, then, is that it doesn’t matter how many years have passed since these things took place, as what happened can have an effect on their descendents.
Hard to Believe For some people, this would have been hard to believe, and they may have wondered how what took place many, many years ago can still have an impact. This can be seen as someone that a rational human being would completely disregard. What can also play a part here is that in today’s world, people are often seen as ‘individuals’ who are separate from everything else. It can then be hard to see how something that took place years ago, and hasn’t affected someone directly, can affect them at all. Another Response There are then going to be others who will be only too happy to hear about this, with this giving them another reason to feel like an aggrieved victim. Hearing this will have been music to their ears or the icing on the cake, so to speak. It can also cause them to feel angry towards certain people, and to make out that they are responsible. These people won’t have played a part in what took place but it will be as though they did. A Weapon or a Tool It is clear that this information can be used for nefarious ends, and this is not going to make the world a better place; it will just add more pain and drama. And as being a victim is often glorified and even weaponized nowadays, adding more fuel to this fire is not going to help. Ultimately, even if someone’s ancestors were not slaves or part of the holocaust, it doesn’t mean that nothing has been passed down to them. Just about everyone on this planet will have ancestors who suffered in one way or another; it doesn’t matter what colour their skin is or what religion they follow. An Important Decision If someone hears something like this, feels angry, and wants certain people to suffer, it will show that they are being controlled by how they feel. They will be identified with their mind and out of touch with their heart, which is why they will be full of judgement and unable to experience compassion and empathy. The alternative would be for them to detach from what is taking place within them and to look into what they can do to heal the pain that is within them. It will be up to them to decide if they want to add more drama to the world or if they want to add more harmony to it. Two Options It is easy to behave like a programmed machine; what is not as easy is to act like a conscious human being. When it comes to the former, one will be controlled by how they feel and imprisoned by their conditioning; whereas when it comes to the latter, they will be exercising their own free will. The idea that someone’s life can be affected by what their ancestors went through is not new; it has been around for a very long time. This was something that I first heard about around nine years ago. Moving Forward From my experience, I would say that ancestral trauma can be dealt with through using something called Family Constellations. A healer called Ben Ralston is someone who assists people in doing this kind of work, as is Errol Campbell.

A little while ago, I was thinking about the role that pain plays when it comes to developing self-awareness and self-knowledge. I thought that if someone experiences pain and ends up reaching out for something to take their pain away, it is going to stop them from looking into why they feel the way that they do.
And, if this is what takes place whenever they feel pain, it is going to stop them from being able to have a strong connection with their inner world. Their inner discomfort will be seen as something to avoid as opposed to something to be with. The Downside On the plus side, this will allow them to feel better and stop them from having to feel bad. Whatever they are drawn to, whether it be drugs, food, sex, social media or alcohol, for instance, it will be a way to sooth themselves. The trouble with this approach is that they are not going to able to find out why they feel the way they do and then to do something about it. Their inner world will be sending them a message but they won’t be listening. A Flawed Approach It is then not going to be possible for them to actually change their life; they will just be trying to take the pain away. Now, if this pain just appeared and it didn’t mean anything, it wouldn’t matter what they did with it. However, this pain is going to be there for a reason and, if they were to take a deeper look into why they feel the way they do, it would give them the chance to understand themselves better. They would be able to gradually go from a human being who is walking about in a daze, to someone who is able to take a step back and to reflect. One Consequence Through being out of touch with the information that is within them, it is then going to be perfectly normal for them to believe that things just happen to them. They may even say that they are ‘unlucky’. This was something that Carl Jung was only too familiar with when he said; "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." What this shows is that ignoring what is going on internally won’t cause it to disappear. Out of Mind, but Not Out Of Sight The feelings that someone doesn’t want to face will end up being pushed into their so-called unconscious mind (body), and they will have a big impact on the kind of experiences that they have and on who ‘appears’ in their life. Their mind will have forgotten, yet their body will be only too aware of what is going on. In addition to this, these feelings can end up impacting their physical health. For example, they might end up experiencing pain in their back, neck, and/or shoulders, without being able to make the connection. The Next Step It could be far worse than just physical pain, though, and what happens could end up being put down to their genetics. Undoubtedly, going within can be hard in the beginning, but it gets easier the more emotionally pain that is dealt with. So, if you have been avoiding your inner world and would like to this to change, you may find that you need external support to begin with. Through working with a therapist or a healer, for instance, and building up your inner strength, you will soon be able to handle your inner world by you yourself.

I mediated a few weeks ago and this was something that I hadn’t done for a little while. But even though I hadn’t done this for a little while, I soon remembered how beneficial it was to mediate.
I felt more at peace afterwards and it brought to my attention how different the mind is compared with the body. While the mind sees everything as separate and categorises everything; the body is in the present moment and just is. Disconnected Not only does the mind believe that everything it sees is separate; it also believes that it has no connection to the body. So, if someone has completely identified with their mind, it is going to make it easy for them to harm anyone and anything. Yet, if they have bought into the minds illusions, there is going to be no reason for them to behave any differently. The body allows us to feel connected to life, whereas the mind causes us to be observers of life. One Option What this means is that the only way we can embrace life is if we are in our body; there is no other way. The mind will take our attention back into the past or into a future that doesn’t exist. And, through being disconnected from life (our body), it can then be normal for us to feel less-than others. We can then allow this to define our life or we can try to avoid feeling this way by achieving things, for instance, along with developing a false-self that can allow us to believe that we are more-than others. Back Down If we feel as though we are more-than others, our ego will believe that we are the centre of the universe as opposed to being part of it. Taking all this into account, it can be hard to understand why anyone would want to live in their head; especially as it will only lead to a painful existence. What this comes down to is that while it is painful to live in this way, it can be easier to live in this way than it can be to get into the body. This is due to the amount of pain that someone can be carrying in their body. A Contradiction To be more accurate: it can be easier for someone to live this way in the short-term, but their life is likely to get worse as time goes by. If they were to face the pain within them and to work through it, it wouldn’t last forever. So, although they will experience more pain than usual, the pain within them will gradually subside. The pain that is within them can relate to what they have experienced during their adult years, what happened during their early years, and what has been passed down from their ancestors. The Healing Journey As these inner blocks are released it will allow them to have moments when they realise that they are not separate from anything. This is why distant healing can take place or how someone can work with a healer from the other side of the planet – the distance between them is an illusion. It can be hard to imagine what the world would be like if everyone on this planet lived in their body. If you get the sense that you are carrying a lot of baggage, reach out for the right assistance.

For quite some time now, there has been another news source for people to pay attention to, and this source is often called the alternative media. Unlike the mainstream media, this source generally disseminates their news online.
So, if someone wants to hear more from this source of information, they only need to have some kind of device. They will then be able to read articles and to watch videos, along with tuning into live streams. The Difference It can be normal for someone to believe that while the mainstream media is full of lies, the alternative media is only interested in the truth. One is then real news and the other is ‘fake news’. If this is the case, there will be no reason for them to question what this source comes out with. Thus, their guard will only need to be up if they are paying attention to the mainstream media. Clear-Cut The mainstream media would have given them drops of truth, but the alternative media will give them wave after wave of truth. They can even have moments when they wonder why anyone would pay attention to any other source. One is going to have a direct line to the truth and these people will be being deceived by the people at the top. The news that they are exposed to will be brought to them by people who have no connection to these people. Stepping Back However, while there will be people who only pay attention to one of these news sources, there are going to be others who believe that one is no better (or worse) than the other. One could be seen as being full of lies, while the other could be seen as being sprinkled with truth. As the alternative media reveals more, it is then easy to come to the conclusion that this source is radically different to the other. In a way, it will be like having a friend who more or less always lies and another friend who only lies at certain times. The Contrast The trouble is that if someone only compares what they are hear through the alternative media with what is going on in the mainstream media, there will be no reason for them to realise what is taking place. So much of what they hear from the alternative media will reflect what is going on in the world, yet it will typically only go so far. Taking this into account, if someone has been starved of real information due to paying attention to the mainstream media for most of their life, the alternative media will be extremely refreshing. Still, if one just stays with this and doesn’t go any further, they will be like a fly that has been caught in a web that is made of rotting meet – if will be better than a normal web, but the fly will still be trapped. Controlled Opposition They will be believe that they know exactly what is going on and this will be the perfect scenario for the people at the top. These people would have known that there would be people who would question things, with this being the reason why they had to come up with a way to keep these kinds of people distracted. The people who work for them can seem to just come out nowhere and appear to be different, creating the impression that they are nothing like the people who work for the mainstream media. For example, they may just create videos in a small room or hide their face. Two Extremes A lot of the mainstream media is left leaning, and they are usually in support of Islam. The alternative media, on the other hand, is usually right leaning and they are often critical of Islam. Along with this, the former often criticises Israel, while the latter rarely has anything bad to say about it. In fact, they often have plenty of good things to say about this part of the world. The Outcome Ergo, it can be normal for someone to believe that Islam is not the problem if they pay attention to the mainstream media and for someone to believe that it is the problem if they listen to the alternative media. What’s interesting about this is that there are a number of people who are part of the alternative media who started off with different views. At the beginning these people didn’t have a lot to say about Islam; what they primarily spoke about was Zionism. The question is then: did these people change their views because they were wrong or was there another reason why this happened? Lies, Lies, and More Lies One then has to wonder why so much attention has been placed on this religion in recent years; is this religion - along with the people who practice it - being used to distract the masses from what is actually going on behind the scenes? This is very similar to what can happen in an abusive relationship, where the abuser does everything they can to make people believe that they are the victim and their partner is the one who is the perpetrator. What is clear is that a lot of the alternative media sources are not going to take a closer look at this issue. They have found their target and all of their energy will continue to be directed towards it. Conclusion Due to the amount of lies that are told by both the mainstream media and the alternative media, it can be incredible difficult to find out what is true and what isn’t. Nevertheless, what is not as difficult is for someone to define how they behave and whether or not they will get caught up what these sources are selling. Through how they behave and what they focus on, they can make the world a better place or they can add more drama to it. This is something that one has to decide for themselves.

A few weeks ago, I was speaking to Errol Campbell, an intuitive coach, author and teacher, and he said about doing a video together. The idea he put forward was to talk about the inner child and the impact this part of us can have on our life.
I was on board with this idea and I was looking forward to making the video and then sharing it with others. The inner child was something that I was very familiar with, in part due to the work I had done with my own inner child over the years. Another Part I had also put a book together on in the inner child a number of years ago and I had recently recorded an audio version of the book. With this in mind, it made sense for me to talk more about this area. Shortly after he said about doing a video together, he said that we could do a live video instead. Initially, we were going to do this after we recorded a video, but he was ready to jump straight in. Coming Together When it comes to planning, he is the kind of person who leaves no stone unturned, and this has meant that nothing has been thrown together for this call. He has taught hundreds of workshops all over the world, in addition to coaching thousands of people. Interestingly, this wouldn’t be happening if I hadn’t have sent him an article towards the end of last year. I had just started writing articles that were more personal and after writing an article about when Errol worked with my father in 2009, I emailed it to him and he got back in touch. One Thing lead To Another When I first started talking to him, I had no idea that we would end up arranging to do a live call together. Even so, what I did find right from the beginning was that it was easy to talk to him. He has been making a difference in people’s lives for many, many years, and this is not something that is going to come to an end any time soon. If anything, he is now going up a gear and offering even more.
