Yesterday a friend of mine called Ian Baillie gave a talk nearby, and this was about “Surviving and Thriving on Post-2012 Earth”. Along with this, he also went into a number of people who he knew and the lives that they had had in the past.
I already knew a lot about what he said as we regularly get together and talk about different things. What did stand out were a number of quotes that he shared and these were by Voltaire. It Flowed After the talk Ian said that he didn’t go along with the talk that he had rehearsed earlier in the week, but no one would have known that what he said wasn’t planned. The reason for this is that there wasn’t a point where he was lost for words or looked up in the air for ideas. From start to finish, everything just came out and I think that he could have carried on talking until the end of the next day, let alone that day. He has been a teacher for most of his life and it showed. A Break When the first part of the talk had finished, I went to the back of the room and this was when I was approached by a man. But although his appearance was that of someone who was in the later stages of his life, there was something about him that seemed a lot younger. His presence or energy had more in common with someone who was in their early twenties. He was tuned in that’s for sure, and he had a number of different insights to share with me. Another Conversation I thought that this guy was very interesting and this meant that I wanted to hear more about what he had to say. At the end of the talk, a woman asked him if he would want to come back here again (as in back to earth). Due to what she had gone through and what was going on in the world, she said that she wouldn’t want to come back. He went onto to say that this was her “earth mind” talking, and that it will be different when she is no longer in the human form. Nailed It The outlook that she had was defined by the experiences she had had up until that point and her outlook would change if she had different information. One way to understand what he was saying would be to think about how hard it would be for you to do anything if you felt extremely tired or unwell, and then to imagine how different it would be if you were full of energy. He said that if she was no longer in human form and she was asked to do something important on earth, she might be only too happy to come back again. Her outlook would be different and this would change everything. Final Thoughts When I think about all this it makes me think about how everyone of us is here for a reason; if this wasn’t the case, we wouldn’t be here. What can make it hard to accept this is if we feel lost and as though our life has no meaning. Yet in the same way that covering up gold won’t make it go away or mean that it doesn’t exist; being out of touch with our own purpose doesn’t mean that we don’t have one. If someone keeps up to date with what is taking place in their own country and around the world, they are likely to have heard a lot about Trump and Brexit. But instead of the mainstream media being able to accept the fact that Trump won and Brexit took place and moving on, they have continued to focus on why it happened.
Point of Focus Now, this is not to say that they have spent a lot of time looking into why people voted for Trump or wanted to leave the European Union. No, what they have generally done is placed their attention on others things. What these sources have come to believe is that the reason why these two things occurred is due to ‘fake news’ and Russia. Therefore, if the ‘fake news’ wasn’t available and the Russians hadn’t got involved, Trump wouldn’t have won and the UK wouldn’t have voted leave. Black and White These are then the only reasons and there is no need for them to spend time looking into if there is more to it. With this in mind, it is going to be perfectly normal for them to spend a lot of time focusing on these two things. Additionally, this will make it easier for their fellow human beings to realise when they are not being exposed to real news. The mainstream media is then there to talk about what is really going on in the world and to give people the information that they need to avoid being deceived. The Solution One may have heard that social media is full of ‘fake news’, with it being best for them to looked towards ‘trusted’ news sources. Subscribing to one or a number of news outlets will then solve this problem. They will end up being exposed to the truth and nothing but the whole truth, which wouldn’t be the case if they only used social media or looked towards the so-called alternative media. Another option, if they don’t do this already, would be for them to go back to reading a paper or watching the news on TV. An Alternative Reality It is hard to say what the world would be like if Hilary Clinton had won and UK had voted to stay in the union. But what is clear, according to the mainstream media, is that this is what would have happened if it wasn’t for outside interference. Both of these outcomes are then very similar to how someone can end up winning a race due to the person in front being tripped up by another person who is sat on the sidelines. They will end up with the trophy, yet they will only be there because they had external support. Completely Illegitimate Taking this into account, Trump shouldn’t be in the white house and UK should still be in the European Union. Putting up with what is going on and not doing anything to change it is going to be the wrong thing to do. Going along with these two outcomes is only going to be acceptable if someone is morally bankrupt and is happy watch their country crumble. It will be vital for the people at the top to carry on cracking down on ‘fake news’ and to punish the Russians. Drawing the Line If this doesn’t take place, outside influences will continue to undermine their democracy. Fortunately, one will have the mainstream media at their fingertips to tell them what is true and what isn’t. Without his source of information, one would end up being indoctrinated by ‘fake news’ and the Russians would be in control of their mind. With ‘fake news’ out of the way and the Russians back in their place, justice will return. A Deeper Look There are going to be plenty of people who will go along with all this, and this is likely to show that they believe that the mainstream media has their best interests at heart. This will mean that they won’t need to think for themselves and to question what this source of information sells them. For others, the mainstream media is not going to be seen as a trustworthy news source, and this will stop them from going along with the narrative that they are selling. In their eyes, this source could be seen as the original ‘fake news’. Totally Indifferent But with that aside, someone could say that the reason why the mainstream media has focused almost exclusively on ‘fake news’ and Russia is to overlook peoples concerns. Thus, instead of looking into why so many people voted for Trump or voted leave, this source can place their attention elsewhere. This is then no different to how someone’s partner can leave them and they can end up blaming other people, as this will stop them from having to look closer to home. Through doing this, there will be no reason for them to take a look at themselves and to change their behaviour. A Lack of Empathy What this will then show is that the mainstream media is not there to serve the people, to give them a voice; they are simply there to fulfil their own agenda. If they actually cared about their fellow human beings and the problems that they are facing, they would take the time to find out why so many people voted for Trump and wanted to leave the union. And, this would take place without his source accusing these people of being “racist” or “xenophobic”. Ultimately, they would need to put themselves in these people’s shoes and to actually hear them, as opposed to labelling them and putting them into a box. Conclusion It is through listening to peoples concerns that something that be done, and these concerns won’t disappear by ignoring what they have to say or invalidating their experience. Perhaps, if the people at the top had taken the time to do this, Trump wouldn’t have won and the UK wouldn’t have voted leave. Focusing on ‘fake news’ and Russia is not going to solve this problem; in fact, it will just take it worse. The mainstream media needs to look closer to home; this where the real answers answers will be found.

When I was at a bar the other night there was a scuffle; fortunately, no one was injured. I thought that this is what can happen when some people get drunk, they lose all self-control.
Instead of being able to think about what they are doing and the consequences that may arise, they end up behaving in a way that is destructive. This could solely be put down to the effect that alcohol has had on them, yet there could be more to it. Taken Over The person, who has the tendency to get into fights when they are drunk, could find it hard to control themselves even if they are not under the influence of alcohol. Their so-called lower brain is then going to have a lot of control over them. One way of looking at this would be to say that they need to control their anger; through doing this, their behaviour will change. Not drinking as much, or cutting it out altogether, may also help. Two Sides It is due to behaviour like this that anger if often seen as a bad thing - as something that needs to be suppressed or removed entirely. When this takes place there will be peace, but until that time, there will continue to be violence. While it is clear that anger can cause someone to behave in ways that are destructive, it can also allow them to be aware of when they are being walked over or compromised in some way. Therefore, anger is neutral; what will define whether it is ‘good’ or ‘bad’ will be how someone responds to it. A Common Outlook However, while anger is often seen as something that is ‘bad’, the same can’t be said for empathy. This is often seen as something that is ‘good’, and this is why it has been said that the world would be a better place if there was more empathy. When someone has this ability, they will be able to put themselves in another person’s shoes. This will make it easier for them to respect their boundaries and harder for them to treat them badly, amongst other things. Far Superior So, if someone’s view of anger is one-sided and this is how they see empathy, they are unlikely to believe that these two things have anything in common. It will be as though one is ‘good’ and the other is ‘bad’. Nevertheless, if they were to take a closer look and to reflect on what takes place when they empathise, they may see that there are times when their need to change how they feel takes precedence. During these times, they are not necessarily going to care about what will actually make a difference. Just As Destructive Empathy is then going to be the first step, but the next step will be for them to think about what will actually make a difference. If this doesn’t take place, they could end up doing more harm than good. Having thought about this, they may then realise that empathy can be ‘good’ or ‘bad’ depending on how it is used. And, if they were to think deeply about anger, they may come to the same conclusion. Final Thoughts It has been said that compassion is better than empathy, and this is because empathy can be selective or biased. What this means is that someone can only show it to certain people, for instance. Compassion, on the other hand, relates to having a general concern for others; regardless of what they look like or where they are from. Also, this can allow someone to think clearly and not to get too caught up in how they feel.

Many years ago, I went through a stage where I would get really annoyed about how bad the service was when I went into certain places. I couldn’t understand why this was taking place and why something hadn’t been done about it.
I thought that this showed that something wasn’t right up top, with what was going on there flowing down to the people who were on the front line, so to speak. Two of the main things that annoyed me were a lack of eye contact and presence; it was as though most of these people had left their body and were somewhere else. I Gradually Settled Down As time went by I started to see that I was wasting my energy and experiencing unnecessary stress by getting worked up about this. Still, there were moments when I would get annoyed about what I experienced. I found that by using the self-service checkouts, it stopped me from having to go through all this. So, although this meant that I wouldn’t experience human contact, it stopped me from having to experience bad service. A New Outlook A few days ago, I ended up thinking about this area again; but this time, it was due to how other customers were behaving. There was a fairly big queue and this meant that we all had to be patient. The person behind found this hard to handle and they kept complaining to a member of staff who was close by. What this meant was that hearing him complain was far more draining than having to wait until I was served. A Similar Scenario Shortly after this I went somewhere else, somewhere were there was also a big queue. And, just like before, there was somewhere there who was talking quite loudly about how bad it was. Being around this kind of behaviour reminded me of what it was like when I worked behind a till, as well as what it can be like when I volunteer. I thought that the people who work behind a till are often seen as objects that are there to meet other people’s needs. A Lack of Empathy When someone has this outlook, there is going to be no reason for them to treat these people as human beings. This means that they will be stripped of their humanity; no longer seen as people who have feelings and needs. If they were to seen them as human beings and not objects, it would be a lot harder for them to treat them in this manner. And, through being treated better by people, it would be a lot easier for these people to provide good customer service. Two Ways The energy would be given from the customer to the person who is serving them and it would end up being given back to the customer, or vice versa. When a customer only takes and dumps all their negativity onto the person who is there to serve then, it is naturally going to take a lot out of them. When this takes place a number of times a day, week after week, month after month, it is going to have a big effect on their wellbeing. Add all this to the other challenges that this person is likely to have and it is not going to be surprising for them to give bad customer service. Conclusion If someone has a high paid job and they rarely deal with customers, it is going to be easier for them to provide good service. Yet if they are not being paid much and they have to deal with hundreds of people a day, it is going to be a lot harder for them to do so. Taking this into account, the kind of service that is given in the UK can be seen as not only a reflection of what is going on for businesses, but also what the culture is like there. Like most places in the west, there is a big focus on technology but the same can’t be said for empathy.

When I was speaking to Errol Campbell a while back, he ended up talking about how one of his family member used to read tea leaves. When they did this, he said that they would say more or less say the same thing to everyone who had a reading.
There was then nothing personal about the reading; there was a formula, and this formula was always applied. After this he spoke about tarot readings, with this being something that he had been into in the past Looking Within He went on to say that the answers we seek are within us and that we don’t need to look towards these external tools. Our heart, and the area behind where our heart is, is where he said that these answers are to be found. It was then crazy to look externally for answers when all the guidance we needed was within us. I could relate to what he was saying as I have had numerous readings over the years. Support When I look back, I would say that the main reason I was having these readings was because I was looking for support. I wanted to be told that everything would be ok and that good things would happen in the future. There were things that I wanted to experience and I thought that the person in front of me would be able to tell me give me the assurance that I needed. Consequently, this meant that I was giving my power away to someone else. Out of My Control A tarot reading was then going to define whether to not something would happen for me, meaning that I played no part in what would happen. Ultimately, I saw myself as having no control over my life and this then caused me to have this outlook. What I really needed was for one of these readers to point out that I felt powerless and that I needed to deal with the trauma that was within me. If this had taken place, I would have been able to realise that my power was not out there. A Natural Consequence In addition to feeling powerless, I was also out of touch with my heart and body; which meant that I relied on my mind for answers. Through being this way, it was perfectly normal for me to look towards people like this for answers. Some of the things that they said would happen, happened, but most of what they said would happen, didn’t happen. What occurred to me was that I was opening my mind up to these people and allowing them to plant seeds. A Different Approach This was then similar to how someone can to go their doctor and allow this person to define long they will live for. Through having built them up in their mind, they will have come to see them as a godlike figure. Through working through the layers of my own trauma, I was gradually able to get in touch with my own inner power and it got easier for me to connect to my own inner guidance. So, if you can relate to this and you no longer want to rely on others for guidance, I would encourage you to get the assistance that you need to work though your own pain.
