Now, although there have been certain events that have had a big effect on a lot of people in recent years, it could be said that there hasn’t been anything for a while that is quite like what is currently taking place. If there are people that haven’t heard about what is going on, it could show that they live in the middle of nowhere and have no connection to the outside world.
With that aside, someone can hear about what is going on whenever they tune into the mainstream media, go online and when they speak to others. But without even doing any of these things, one could still get a clear idea about what is going on by simply paying a visit to their local supermarket. Two Reasons They could see that there are a lot of empty shelves and that there are so many people that are buying lots of the same thing. And a lot of the food items that they buy are likely to be things that have a long shelf life. On the one hand, people will have brought more than usual and, on the other, what is going on in other parts of the world will have stopped certain items from being delivered. Empty shelves are then the result of far more consumption than usual and less supply than usual in certain cases. Out of Balance When it comes to why some people are buying more than usual, there are likely to be at least two reasons. There will be concern about whether or not food will run out and there will be the part that their reptile brain plays. For someone to be concerned about there being enough food if things continue to progress as they are could be seen as normal, but when the reptile brain completely takes over, it will be hard for someone to think rationally. Instead of paying attention to this part of their being and planning for what could take place, they will go into survival mode. Out of Control One will then have the ability to think but it will be as if they are possessed by their instincts. This is not the only way in which someone can be affected by what is going on, though, as there is at least one other way. Through hearing about what is going on and being around other people that are reacting to what is taking place, their emotions can end up being all over the place. When it comes to what they were like before, they may have been emotionally stable or they might have generally found it hard to feel at ease. Perception is Reality Either way, their inner world is not going to be settled and what is taking place inside them can influence how they perceive what is taking place externally. As a result of this, what is taking place externally can end up appearing to be worse than it actually is. To use an analogy: it will be as if one is looking through a pair of dirty glasses at a wall that is dirty. Thanks to what they are looking through, the wall will appear to be far worse than it is. One Conclusion If one was able to take a step back and to reflect on what is going on, to use their thinking brain, they could believe that the reason they feel as they do is because of what is taking place externally. In this case, they are not going to be playing a big part in their emotional experience. However, while what is taking place externally will play a part in how they feel - they are an interdependent human being after all – there is also going to be the part that their unconscious mind is having. What is taking place externally is likely to have triggered emotions that have been hidden in their unconscious mind/body for many years. The Trigger These emotions can relate to what has taken place in their adult life and go right back to what happened during their early years. The years would then have passed, but how they felt would have stayed inside them. With all this additional emotional energy, it is to be expected that it will be harder for them to handle what is going on. Through having this understanding, it will allow one to see that they are not powerless and that there is something that they can do to settle themselves down. Emotional Flashback If how they feel is connected to what has taken place in their adult life, they might soon be able to connect the dots, so to speak. Yet, if it relates to what took place when they were younger, this might not be possible. This is due to the fact that something traumatic may have occurred before their brain was developed enough to remember what took place. As a result of this, the memory/memories that would shed light on why they feel as they do will be absent. Awareness If one can relate to this, and they are ready to change their life, they may need to reach out for external support. This is something that can take place with the assistance of a therapist or a healer.
